This work titled “ Happy Union “ goes on to show that there is strength in the coming together of two people . The act of uniting to become one in body and mind . Again it is symbolized with the “ marapaachi dolls “ that have been donned with ornaments and garlands. The decorations are resounding the festivities that come with such union .

The ideating process of this series “ Allegory of Love “ is to showcase a fictional romance through symbols- the “marapaachi dolls “ The wooden dolls are always made in pairs out of red sandalwood. It has its origin in southern India from ancient times and depicts husband and wife referred to as Raja and Rani symbolizing prosperity and fertility.
